BioGaia Baby & Kids Probiotic Questions

BioGaia Baby Drops are safe to take from the 1st day of life in full term infants.

We recommend giving our probiotic drops by spoon. First, shake well for 10 seconds to mix the probiotic. To dispense the drops, tilt the bottle and gently push 5 drops into a spoon. Do this once-daily. Note: Don’t add baby drops to hot drinks, formula, milk, or food as this may reduce the efficacy of the dosage. Also, do not give directly from the tube into the mouth.

BioGaia KIDS Chewables are safe for any child that can chew properly on their own. Typically, it’s a preschooler around 3 years old.

The brownish dots come from an antioxidant that helps increase the stability of the Chewables. Over time this antioxidant will oxidize and the “dots” darken in color. These “dots” are a normal part of the formula and the product is still safe to use.

BioGaia Safety & Storage Questions

Yes, BioGaia Probiotics are free from common allergens such as milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, and soy. All of our products except for Osfortis are also free from gluten.

All BioGaia products should be stored in a dry location that’s consistently around room temperature. Do not store in extreme heat or extreme cold. Also, make sure to use Baby Drops within 3 months of opening, the Prodentis drops within 2 months of opening, and the Osfortis within 1 month of opening.

The desiccant device’s purpose is to prolong the life of the product. While it’s not meant to be consumed, it is approved for use in direct contact with food and is harmless if ingested.
