Determined to find a solution, Peter and Jan embarked on an innovative quest. They began exploring the potential of using beneficial bacteria to extend the shelf-life of organic vegetables.
What started as a science experiment soon revealed something extraordinary. Their search led them to a fascinating discovery that would change the shape of the global probiotics industry forever—they discovered a unique and powerful species of bacteria known as Limosilactobacillus reuteri (formerly Lactobacillus reuteri).
Breakthrough scientific discoveries
Peter and Jan realized that this particular species of bacteria had remarkable properties beyond just preserving vegetables. This breakthrough inspired them to delve deeper into the potential of L. reuteri.
